Gatehill Estate:  OpenReach works planned on the Estate; 14th and 27th February 2024

Dear Residents,

Open Reach have informed us that they have scheduled works on the estate between 14th and 27th February to complete the installation of full fibre broadband, which will result in the availability of ultra fast fibre internet with speeds up to 900 mb/s.

Work will be limited to the section of Gatehill Road between Gate End and Elgood Avenue. A new box will be installed on the grass verge on the corner (by 15 Gatehill Road) and cables will run through 90m of new duct up to the existing box on the verge along the side of 18a Elgood Avenue.

We understand that there will be no need to close the road during the works, although there may be some disruption for pedestrians.
